This is such a fantastic idea! I'm on maternity leave too and tried to join the local 'befrienders' but was unable as told it was against H&S to go with a child so would love to get involved if you make it outside London! Good luck!

You're bringing the future generation and a generation that is often overlooked together. How special this must be for the residents at the care home.. in fact for all involved. I really hope you can continue with your fantastic work!.. Good luck! xxx

Good luck Louise, I love what you're doing. I also run a community interest company and you have inspired me to look into Crowdfunding!

I absolutely love this project. I took my one year old to visit s family friend at a local care home and he lit up the lounge. I was humbled by the difference it made and reading about your work has inspired me to go back and speak to them about making it a regular occurrence and possibly inviting other mums. Louise, if you are looking for volunteers in Bournemouth I can spare a couple of hours a week, please get in touch. Thanks and good luck x

This is a wonderful project which will benefit so many people. Babies and seniors are such happy companions when brought together and the music makes it magical.

Rewards

This project offers rewards in return for your donation.

£10 or more

£10 Reward

£10 could pay for name badges for children, parents and residents. This helps us get to know each other better and makes people feel part of a friendly community. Or for biscuits to bond with over a cup of tea! You'll receive my sincere gratitude, and the knowledge that you’ve helped to make a real contribution to people’s happiness

£25 or more

£25 Reward

£25 is the cost of a bubble machine and bubble liquid. The sensory stimulation this provides for children and elderly people is wonderful. We'll list your name as a donor on our website.

£50 or more

£50 Reward

£50 could help pay for reusable spill-proof hot drinks cups. Having a chat over a cup of tea and a biscuit is a wonderful bonding experience for parents and residents. These cups allow us to offer hot drinks in a safe way. We'll list your name as a donor on our website and we'll send you an email with photos from one of the sessions you’ve helped fund.

£100 or more

£100 Reward

£100 buys a wonderful selection of musical instruments for our sessions. Children, parents and residents have great fun playing everything from tambourines to triangles! We'll list your name as a donor on our website and we'll send you a printed thank-you card featuring a photo from one of the sessions you helped fund.

£200 or more

£200 Reward

£200 trains a volunteer. There are two at every session at each home, and as well as running the activities, they must be aware of our policies on safeguarding and health & safety and be equipped to handle all situations. We'll send you a printed thank-you card featuring a photo from one of the sessions you helped fund, as well as an email with an online album of photos.
